Arowana Fins
Arowana Questions, Answered
Straightforward answers about size, care, feeding, transport, and responsible ownership.
Are Arowanas beginner fish?
Usually not. Their adult size, jumping ability, feeding, water-quality needs, and long lifespan make them better suited to prepared, experienced keepers.
How large an aquarium do I need?
The correct final dimensions depend on the species and adult size. Choose generous length and width for turning and surface swimming, and prepare the adult system rather than buying only for a juvenile.
Why must the aquarium have a secure lid?
Arowanas are strong jumpers. Even small gaps around equipment or feeding openings can become escape points.
What does “unsexed” mean?
Reliable visual sexing is difficult for many juvenile Arowanas. We avoid guessing unless sex has been established by a dependable method.
Can you ship to every location?
No. Species restrictions, documentation, carrier service, weather, and safe transit conditions determine eligibility.
Can I reserve a fish shown online?
Send an inquiry with the Stock ID. A reservation is confirmed only after availability, aquarium readiness, destination, agreement, and payment steps are reviewed.
